Quaker Barn is an award-winning holiday house in the grounds of Quaker’s Hall, a Grade II listed farmhouse which dates from about 1700, set in four acres of garden, meadow and orchard. It has been converted into stylish and spacious open-plan living accommodation by an internationally acclaimed architect and his wife. The farm buildings enclose an ornamental herb garden and potager. The barn has a south-facing garden which open onto undulating farmland with lovely views toward woodland and water meadows.
The main space is open plan with a large sitting area with wood burning stove overlooked by a raised dining area and kitchen. A huge sliding window opens onto the terrace and garden. There is a mix of contemporary materials such as marble resin floors and granite worktops with exposed beams, flintwork and panelling.
