Grey's Court is a very spacious single-storey brick and flint building which has been converted from the old stables, and has dreamy views across undulating meadow to the little Victorian flint church over the valley. Its generously proportioned main rooms have a cool Scandinavian mood, decorated in relaxing shades of blue and green for a calm and comfortable atmosphere. On one side the barn has a sheltered walled courtyard for soaking up the sun and on the other, a large terrace and lawn.
There is a panelled sitting room with window seat and woodburning stove, huge panelled dining hall with open plan kitchen and antique dining table to seat ten, small laundry room with butler's sink, washing machine and tumble drier, downstairs cloakroom, five spacious bedrooms including two four posters, two king size beds, (one can be made into two singles), childrens’ bedroom with twin beds, all with ensuite bathroom or shower and WC.
The barn has its own spacious enclosed garden, and there are also shared games rooms, a spa and a steam room. A gentle fifteen minute walk, following in the footsteps of Henry VIII, takes you to the medieval village of Walsingham. This is home to the shrine of Our Lady, visited by pilgrims from around the world, founded in 1061 when the lady of the manor built a Holy House modelled on a dream vision of Jesus’ house in Nazareth. Little remains of the C13th Priory, but the famous Abbey gardens may be visited and have spectacular drifts of snowdrops in springtime.
